VisualMill - Another 3D programming
system supported by Pacer machines

Programming of Pacer machines for 2D and 2.5D operations has
always been possible in the XMC-E machine control software
that is supplied with every Pacer machine. Design data,
usually in DXF format is read in and all machining
parameters are entered using an interactive graphical
approach. Full 3 axis machining, using industry standard
g-code programs is also possible on all Pacer machines but
requires the program to be generated in an external CAD /
CAM system. Many of these systems are already tried and
tested for working with the Pacer machine controller and
include such well known packages as Edgecam, Powermill,
Licom, Mastercam, Artcam, Millwizard and many more.
The latest system to include a dedicated Pacer
postprocessor is the VisualMill software from MecSoft. This
is a powerful yet simple to use system which is capable of
generating many different types of 3D toolpaths using a
selection of powerful machining strategies designed to
minimise both programming and machine cycle time.
