Tungsten Carbide, single upward spiral flute These cutters are recommended for all types of plastics including acrylics, PVC, ABS etc. They are made from the finest quality solid carbide and ground to give a fine surface finish with efficient swarf removal.
Tungsten Carbide, 2 upward spiral flutes Similar to the above series but with 2 flutes. These cutters also work extremely well on most acrylics, PVC, Polycarbonate etc. The cutting flutes are ground for perfect balance and optimum cut quality.
Tungsten Carbide, spiral downward flutes These cutters are designed for routing thinner plastics, eg: less than 1-2mm which may be lifted from the machine bed by the upward flutes of conventional cutters resulting in a ragged edge finish. The downward spiral flutes tend to push the material down into the machine bed to ensure stability and a good cut quality. Not recommended for thicker materials as the swarf will be pushed down into the cut and not cleared.
